You're Not Broken. You're Just Between Chapters.

Gaps on your resume do not define your value. Here is why the most capable professionals are the ones who stop apologizing for their gaps and start owning their next chapter.

You're Not Broken. You're Just Between Chapters.

You're not broken. You're just between chapters.

Some of the smartest, most capable people I've ever met are stuck right now.

Not because they don't have skills. But because they've convinced themselves a gap on their resume means they're no longer valuable.

    Let me say this clearly:

Your productivity does not define your worth. Your paycheck is not a reflection of your potential. A few months - or even years - off doesn't erase what you bring to the table.

And yet... the moment people experience a gap, they panic.

    They start shrinking.

They tell themselves stories like: "No one's going to hire me after this." "I need someone to take a chance on me." "I'm falling behind."

But here's what no one tells you: Gaps are normal.

Layoffs, caregiving, illness, burnout, pandemics - they've happened to all of us.

We are the generation who has lived, survived, and triumphed over "unprecedented times."

    You're not broken. You're human.

    I've had gaps too.

And I still got recruited without applying.

I still got raises - after being laid off.

Because I didn't let the gap become the whole story.

I reframed it. I led with the impact I've had, not the time I wasn't working. I owned my value and I showed up like someone who was choosing their next chapter, not begging for a break.

    That's the shift.

You don't need to explain your way out of a gap.

You need to lead with who you are now - and have clarity and faith in what you're capable of.

Stop apologizing and start owning your next chapter.
